Webinar: Exploring the Universe Through Apps

Program: 

This program will present several of the apps that help the user to explore the universe around them.  Apps will include popular planetarium apps for finding objects in the sky, apps for the Moon and other solar system objects such as Saturn and Jupiter, and apps that can help visualize our solar system and galaxy.

Speaker: 

Jim Small is a retired public-school science teacher after 31 years of service.  He currently teaches Introduction to Astronomy at East Central College in Union and is the Observatory Instructor for the Observatory and Planetarium in Pattonville, housed at Pattonville Heights Middle School.  Jim serves as the President for the St. Louis Astronomical Society and is involved with the Jefferson College Observatory, currently in the planning stages with SLAS. Other areas of interest include photography, the Gateway Chess League, and blues harmonica.
